A timely gift

I need to tell this story to give glory to God and to bless somebody who responded to God's wonderful and mysterious leading.

Marcos is a dear young man at the Casa de Bethel orphanage, or "Josephina's orphanage," who some time ago developed a brain tumor which has blinded and partially crippled him. Thanks be to God that he has had cancer treatments for many months and seems to be responding well, putting on some weight and generally, but very slowly, improving. Marcos is an increible person to be around. He is so gentle and cheerful. He enthusiastically participates in almost any activity that is offered, to the best of his ability. But his favorite thing to do, at least while we have been at the orphanage with teams, is to sing songs of praise to God. He will sit with an incredible look of joy on his face and sing. Wow.

Marcos Sings to God A few weeks ago some anonymous, previous, outreach team member sent a monetary gift earmarked for "Marcos' medical needs." I gave the envelope to Josephina and told her what it was for. She looked at me with an almost mischevious smirk and said, "Come. Marcos is over here. Let's take this to him." Marcos was in the kitchen, sitting quietly. Josephina said, as she took his hand and put the envelope into it, "Do you remember the need that you had and that you had prayed for? Well, here it is!" She said it with a smile and a tone of voice that almost said, "Would you ever expect otherwise?" Praise God!

So whoever you are that gave that gift, give glory to God as He used you to directly answer a prayer!
