Family information
Mark and Candi have been gifted by God with 8 children: Audra 21, Kendra 17, Shannah 16, Kayla 15, David 13, Leah 11, Sarah 9, and Jenna 7. They enjoy numerous church activities through Ten Mile Community Church in Meridian, ID. As a family they enjoy camping trips, fishing, hiking, bike riding, and attending the children’s sports and other activities. They also enjoy ministry as a family through outreach on short-term mission trips and in the Boise, Idaho community.
Ministry vision
It is our desire to have God work through us to:
- Impact the spiritual and physical lives of the poor, rejected and needy in Mexico and the world.
- Impact the members of outreach teams by letting them experience the mighty love and power the Holy Spirit working through them.
- Impact mission interns and families who are being equipped to go out into the world and share the love, mercy and hope found through knowing Jesus.
- Impact the world by replicating the IFM family outreach model in the U.S., Latin America and around the world.
- Present Jesus Christ and His Gospel to those who do not yet know Him.
A call to "follow"
In April 2004 we decided to take a vacation that would allow the entire family to serve on a short term mission. Our search led us to a one week family vacation with International Family Missions. In April of 2005 we joined 7 other families from Chicago on a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico. Our experience was a transforming time for our entire family. We were challenged individually and together as we experienced the power of the Holy Spirit transforming lives. We were able to work side by side with our children and other families to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus with the Mexican people.
We returned to Boise and shared our experience with our church, family and friends and began to facilitate an outreach for families to be touched in the same way. We have since facilitated two outreaches from the Boise area and have adopted a lifestyle of outreach. The past two years have also presented outreach opportunities for our family in New Orleans, Honduras, Colorado and Portland. We have been privileged to see the hand of God at work in our lives and the lives of others.
